A Better Day

We can all go back to yesterday or before and find things we wanted, we would have done or not done. We can think of things that we should have said or not said. We can decide if we had a productive day or not. We can review the day and see if we have done things in our lives and we're on track to what God wanted us to do.
We know when we look back, we did not do all that we felt we should have done. We know when we look back we lost a good amount of time on the computer, watching TV or just chat with friends. We can find when we look back, we do not really do too much. We should not be too upset about this because today is our opportunity to make a better day.

Colossians 1:9-10 "While we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard of you. We ask God to give you a complete knowledge of his will and give you the wisdom and spiritual intelligence. And how you live always honor and please the Lord, and your life will produce all kinds of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better ".
Looking back is not a bad idea when we look at the things we have to work towards a goal that we have in life. Looking back is not a bad thing when we learn from our past and what we can do to improve. Looking back and allowing God to speak to us about what we can do today to focus more on our relationships, our finances, our careers, our spirituality and health will help us understand where we are and what we can do to move forward.
Perhaps today, in our relationships with others, we must decide to sit down and spend more time with someone who is in need. Maybe we should look for opportunities to create a relationship with someone new. Maybe we need to decide to be more friendly and helpful to our family. Maybe today, we must include God in our relationship so that He can work through us to help others.
Perhaps today, in our finances, we need to decide our benefit first need to go to God. Maybe we should be more careful about how we spend money. Maybe we should look for ways to increase revenues and reduce unnecessary expenditures. Maybe today, we must go to God to help us be better managers of money and look for opportunities to give more and spend less.
Perhaps today, in our career, we need to take stock of what we do and whether we enjoy our jobs. Maybe we should look at what we do and be sure it is pleasing to God. Maybe we should take our careers and looking for ways to make a difference for others, we work with and help increase the bottom line for our organization. Maybe today, we must put ourselves in a good job to earn an honest wage.
Perhaps today, in our spirituality, we must be sure that we go to God first before we go there with the day. Maybe we need to read His word more than we did yesterday. Maybe we need to reach out to him throughout the day rather than just when we think we owe him. Maybe today we should thank God more and remember how great and holy he is.
Perhaps today, in our health, we must be more aware of what we put in our mouths. Maybe we need to go out and do some type of physical exercise and find ways to stay more mentally alert. Maybe we need to decide to go to bed earlier so that we can get more rest. Maybe today we must remember that our bodies are temples of God and we must take care of them.
Today may be a better day when we look back on yesterday and decide to improve and we improve and help others. When we look at doing something to improve our relationships, our finances, our careers, our spirituality and health, and be sure it's what God wants us to do, we can make a better day today. When we tried to improve our day to God and each day we will make a difference in our lives and the lives of others.
